Chekhov and Intimacy, explores how a psychophysical, imaginative, and highly creative technique can help the actor access an intimate connection to the work that is applicable to both on camera and stage work.
CHEKHOV AND INTIMACY

Participants will be asked to bring in scenes from screenplays, or any tv and film material past or present that they may have received from auditions or bookings.

This 2-day workshop will enable directors, actors and intimacy coordinators to apply Chekhov’s Techniques - from the analysis and preparation of scripts to effective communication, in the moment, on set, with actors – in a way that is visceral, instinctive, and activating. Our goal is for bolster the collaboration of actor, directors and intimacy professionals

DAY ONE: EMBODYING THE FUNDAMENTALS
Directors and actors will work together as an ensemble to learn the basic tools of the Chekhov Technique using the text from a TV or film script to practice the application of the tools.

DAY TWO: APPROACHING THE SCRIPT
Each director will have an opportunity to direct a scene with an intimacy coordinator and actors using the fundamentals from
Day One.
